Q: When is the Merge Twin Cities festival?

 

A: Saturday, September 4th, 2021 1pm-9pm

Q: What time does the festival begin?

 

A: The festival begins at 1pm and runs through to 9pm.

Q: Where is the festival taking place?

 

A: The festival will be outdoors on the upper and lower malls of the Minnesota State Capitol (75 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55155)

Q: Is there an admission fee?

 

A: This is a FREE event! There is no admission fee or registration required!

Q: Who is this event for? 

 

A: This event is for the entire Twin Cities! No matter your age, race, background or where you live, we want you to come and celebrate the nations of the Twin Cities. 

Q: What can I expect at the event?

 

A: This event will include a combination of food, music, games & activities and local communities showcasing what makes their culture special. 

Q: Will there be food and beverages? Does it cost money? 

 

A: There will be local food vendors and food trucks. All of these vendors will require money in order to purchase food/drinks. 

Q: Where is parking? 

 

A: The State Capitol has a number of different parking lots and ramps for you to park your vehicle. On the weekends, parking meters are not enforced so you will not need to pay when parking in these public lots and ramps. See the attached map for locations of available parking lots and ramps.

Centennial Parking Ramp, Orange Level – SE corner of Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. and W. Central Park Pl, enter from Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd.

Lot AA – SW corner of University Ave and Rice St, enter from Aurora Ave

Lot C – NW corner of Sherburne off of Rice St, enter from Sherburne Ave

Lot K – NW corner of Cedar St and 12th St, enter from 12th St

Lot U – SE corner of N. Robert St and 14th St, enter from 14th St

Lot W – SW corner of 14th St and Jackson St, enter from 14th St

Ramp F – enter off Rice St

MN Senate Garage (Public Disability Parking Only) – enter from Capitol Blvd, off of Sherburne Ave

Q: Can I bring a shade tent and/or chairs? 

 

A: Yes you are allowed to bring chairs, but are only allowed access behind the “standing room only” point. Shade Tents are NOT allowed, as they block the view of the stage.
